The Supreme Court still holds an esteemed position in the government, but lately, the majority of conservative male justices have embraced a victim narrative where they feel wronged by someone. It might be prudent for them to seek therapy and address these issues instead of making judgments based on personal experiences. Neil Gorsuch has been driven by a personal grudge ever since his mother was forced to resign as the Environmental Protection Agency administrator in 1983. Gorsuch is now on a mission to distribute his mother’s toxic agenda and curtail the EPA’s ability to regulate power plant emissions. By overturning a unanimous decision in Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council, the Supreme Court could make it easier for businesses to challenge regulations that ensure clean air and water, safe food and drugs, and responsible financial firms. This overturning would approve his mother’s lax stance on regulations which proves the point that Gorsuch is determined to settle a score rather than upholding the law.
Samuel Alito, who authored the opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade, has joined the victim narrative by whining that the Court’s legitimacy is being unfairly questioned. Sadly, many women feel the same way about this Supreme Court due to Alito’s merciless stripping of women’s rights to make decisions concerning their bodies. Clarence Thomas still carries a grudge after being exposed as a porn-loving harasser of women who worked for him. These recent events have brought new revelations of ethical misconducts to the attention of the public. Unfortunately, Chief Justice John Roberts has failed to address the matter, despite the growing deluge of unethical behavior among some of the justices. Roberts’ wife, Jane, is even a legal recruiter who’s made millions by placing attorneys at firms that have business before the Supreme Court, which raises more questions about the integrity of the court.
In conclusion, it’s unnerving to see how the murkiness surrounding the Supreme Court has been illuminated. Even though it has been questionable for years, there is still an insufferable level of arrogance present in the conservative male justices on the bench.
