It’s referred to as “Resident Evil Kart.” For those who may not recall, the original Resident Evil games utilized fixed camera angles due to technical limitations at the time. This added an additional layer of suspense to the game, as players couldn’t see beyond a certain point until they were within close proximity. This made encounters with potential zombies even more nerve-wracking. MrL314 has transposed this system onto Mario Kart, resulting in a challenging and out-of-the-ordinary gameplay experience for this classic racing game.
“Instead of the regular camera tracking your movements, it remains fixed at a specific point along the track, providing a constant view of the course as you drive through it,” explained MrL314. “This significantly increases the game’s difficulty and presents a challenge for those willing to take on the task!
The modder mentioned that they have included support for Battle Tracks in Battle Mode, allowing players to face off against each other while contending with this unique camera angle.
