The creators of Palworld Pocketpair haven’t caught the attention of Nintendo’s legal team yet, but they are currently dealing with a new challenge: combating online cheaters in the ‘Pokémon with guns’ survival game. The studio has acknowledged reports of hackers causing trouble for players on the game’s official servers. Despite the absence of a proper PvP mode in the game at the moment, players in the game’s subreddit have shared instances of being eliminated and looted by other human players using exploits, hacks, and other means. Pocketpair addressed the issue of “cheating on the official server” with a patch in the latest v0.1.3.0 update, which also included “anti-cheat measures and various improvements” (such as fixing minor bugs with screenshots and country date). However, the studio cautioned that “it is currently challenging to completely prevent all cheating at once,” so players should expect to encounter cheating for the time being. In a Steam blog post, the developers expressed their commitment to enhancing security in order to establish a safe gaming environment and apologized to players who had encountered online troublemakers.

There is a hack that enables players to capture the game’s first boss, Zoe and Grizzbolt, and unleash their minigun attacks – a satisfying way to let off steam after all your hard work, perhaps.
