Starbucks will be offering its Oleato beverages in every U.S. store. Courtesy: Starbucks The company indicated that it will launch its olive oil-infused drinks in all U.S. stores starting Tuesday. The drinks, named Oleato, were first introduced in Italy in February 2023, after the then CEO Howard Schultz observed locals consuming olive oil on a daily basis. The selection of olive oil-infused coffee drinks made their debut in select U.S. Starbucks stores the following month and initially received negative feedback, with The New Yorker criticizing the drink for tasting “like a large spoonful of olive oil in coffee.” According to Starbucks, Oleato translates to “with oil” in Italian. The lineup includes a latte and an iced espresso drink. It also presents the Oleato Golden Foam, which comprises vanilla sweet cream infused with Partanna extra virgin olive oil and can be incorporated into any Starbucks beverage. Additionally, the company mentioned that four suggested customizations for the foam will be accessible through the app. The launch coincides with Starbucks’ scheduled report of its fourth-quarter earnings. The company aims to uphold sales growth in its North America division. Its shares have declined by over 3% since the beginning of this year.
