# Gboard’s Gemini Nano Smart Reply supports two more apps on Pixel 8 Pro
The Gemini Nano feature, available on the Pixel 8 Pro, now supports not only Recorder Summarize and Magic Compose in Google Messages but also Gboard Smart Reply. This intelligent feature offers “conversational intelligence” and “super smart solutions.” By utilizing AI directly on the device, it helps save time and conserve Google’s computing resources by eliminating the need to access the cloud. Initially, it only supported WhatsApp, but Google has quietly added support for two more apps, including Line and KakaoTalk, with the promise of more messaging apps to come in the future.
For Gboard Smart Reply to work on your Pixel 8 Pro, you need to enable it in the settings by going to Settings > AiCore Preferences > Enable Aicore Persistent. It is important to ensure that the 1GB Gemini Nano version is downloaded. Smart Answers will then appear in the Gboard suggestions section following incoming messages. It is also recommended to charge your device over Wi-Fi overnight to speed up the downloading of models, which can take some time.
Additionally, it was recently announced that Gemini Nano is being utilized to power Magic Compose in Messages on the Pixel 8 Pro and Samsung S24. This feature is available worldwide and compatible with the United States English keyboard.
