The subscription will be required for access to Bard Advanced, which runs on Google’s Gemini Ultra AI. This move aligns with Google’s strategic focus on subscription services, as its latest annual report revealed subscription revenues across all categories surpassing $15 billion.”We announced Bard Advanced in December, and it will be powered by our new Gemini Ultra architecture,” said Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet, during the Q4 Call on Tuesday. The Ultra mode of Gemini is designed for the most intricate tasks, enabling Bard Advanced to comprehend and act upon various forms of data, including text, images, audio, video, and code.Google did not disclose the pricing or release date for Bard Advanced but indicated that it will be available in over 40 languages and 230 countries worldwide. The company is expected to offer an advanced version for subscribers, supported by Gemini Ultra, in the near future. While Google’s Bard is currently free to use, it is anticipated that Bard Advanced will likely come with a subscription fee, similar to the $20 subscription option for ChatGPT Plus, compared to the free version of ChatGPT.
