PlayStation has revealed that Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind Metal Gear Solid, is working on Physint, a major new project aimed at “rebooting” the genre for which he is best known. The upcoming spy game will be a brand new intellectual property, as the rights to Metal Gear Solid are still held by Konami. Additionally, there are plans to turn the original game into a movie. “Although the planning process is not going smoothly, production will commence swiftly at Kojima Productions following the release of Death Stranding 2,” Kojima announced during Sony’s PlayStation State of Play event. It was also disclosed that Death Stranding 2 is scheduled for release in 2025.

Also, Sony does not only do games, but also does movies and music. It will definitely be a strong partnership. “Two years from now, I will celebrate. 40th year of my game production career. I am confident that this chapter will be the culmination of my work. “Of course, it's an interactive game, but it's a movie at the same time, looking at the appearance, story, theme, actors, games, fashion and sound. With this title, we hope to cross the barriers between film and video games.”
