Apple rolled out iOS 17.3 on Jan. 22, which brought in new features like Stolen Device Protection and a range of compatible games for iPhone users. The update also included bug fixes and security patches, including those which Apple stated were exploitable.

To download this update, go to Settings > General > Software Update, click Install Now and follow the on-screen instructions. According to Apple, iOS 17.3 contains over a dozen security fixes. One of these fixes is for WebKit, the web browser engine used in Safari and developed by Apple. Apple claimed that WebKit can resolve harmful code that could result in arbitrary code execution. This means that someone could steal your data or compromise your device for other malicious purposes, according to IT Services company Okta. The patches in iOS 17.3 also address other vulnerabilities, such as those in Safari that could potentially reveal a user’s private information in settings. However, Apple mentioned that none of the other features were exploited immediately.
