Samsung confirms it: No solution planned for Galaxy S24 Ultra’s vibrant display mode problem

There are reports emerging from users who have received the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, indicating that the phone’s visual appearance does not meet the standards set by its predecessors; however, Samsung insists that it does. In a statement provided to Teknofilo (via Android Police), Samsung Spain explains that “some alterations have been made to the display technology to offer an improved display.” The statement further notes that users will observe a more pronounced difference in color compared to previous devices, and the new display and brightness will provide a more accurate and comfortable viewing experience. Samsung has been enhancing colors for years, allowing users to adjust the colors for better, rather than just realistic and natural, appearance. This refutes claims made by a Samsung representative who asserted that the issue would be addressed soon. The representative had previously stated that Samsung’s development team is “presently working to resolve this issue on your device” and reassured users that the upcoming software “will rectify our problem on our Samsung S24.” However, this does not appear to be the case. Numerous storiesSamsung Galaxy S24 Ultra in hand shows display and home screen(Image credit: Future) across various Reddit threads and forums have confirmed the widespread nature of the problem, with users reporting that the visuals appeared more subdued than usual and sharing screenshots for comparison with older devices. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra’s display appears not to show much difference in color compared to its predecessor, the S23 Ultra’s vivid display, which presents more depth of color than its natural display. It seems that Samsung may opt to retain this configuration, though this can only be speculated. Any developments will be reported, but for now, it appears that a satisfactory solution has not been reached. More from Tom’s Guide
