How JLL Enhances Employee Experience through Various Tools and Technologies

JLL, a global real estate services firm, leverages a range of tools and technologies to enhance the employee experience. When investing in HR technology, JLL considers the integration of tools with the existing system, user experience, return on investment (ROI), data security, and scalability. Meenakshi Cornelius, Head of Human Resources at JLL, emphasizes the importance of being cautious about biases and inaccuracies in AI tools due to subjective data inputs.

Change management and adoption of HR tech tools require focus and a structured process. JLL conducts training, awareness sessions, Q&A sessions, and webinars to explain standard operating procedures and address any doubts. They also refresh information regularly to ensure employees remember how to use the tools.

JLL has a rewards and recognition platform called ‘Going Beyond,’ where employees earn points based on performance and can redeem them for online products. This platform also allows employees to recognize and express gratitude to their peers.

In talent acquisition, JLL utilizes AI tools like Hire Score, Hire EZ, and Avature to automate tasks such as resume screening and interview scheduling. These tools not only fulfill current talent requirements but also help in building communities for future positions. The adoption of AI-based hiring tools has shown improved outcomes and better accessibility, as multiple people can access the dashboard from different locations.

Once employees are in the system, they can use the ‘HR Direct’ tool to self-serve and raise queries. This tool operates similar to a Google search. If the tool doesn’t provide the required information, employees can reach out to subject matter experts for assistance.

JLL uses Tableau for internal reporting and dashboarding and relies on the cloud-based ERP system, Workday, for human resources management, including employee data, talent management, performance management, learning and development, and global compliance.

Aside from professional aspects, JLL also focuses on the personal side of employees. They deployed a platform called ‘Yammer,’ which hosts hobby clubs like photography, fitness, reading, etc. This platform allows employees with similar interests to come together, participate in discussions, and pursue their personal interests.

JLL has also launched an automation platform called ‘DoGood’ for corporate social responsibility activities. Through this platform, employees can make donations and volunteer for activities like recording books for specially-abled children, without physical presence.

Meenakshi Cornelius emphasizes that the main objective of JLL’s HR tech interventions is to enhance employee experience and simplify technology solutions.
