Expand / Just a few seconds before the troll's hilarious moment. The Zod rune is a highly coveted item in Diablo II. It is an extremely rare permanent item that can make certain weapons indestructible, with only a 1 in 2,987,183 chance of dropping from the game’s toughest enemies, as calculated by one source. Dedicated players have admitted that they have never come across an authentic Zod rune drop, making it quite elusive. So, when Diablo streamer and runner Kano came across the Zod rune during a run of Diablo II: Resurrection on Wednesday (as seen by GamesRadar), it was a significant moment. When Kano then proceeded to trade the rune for a mere 35,000 gold in the game just a few minutes later, it was a surprising turn of events. “That’s my fastest speed! Let’s go,” Kano calmly remarked as the rune dropped, downplaying the significance of the moment. “That’s the first Zod I’ve found, by the way. Ever.” Viewers in the live Twitch chat expressed their disbelief and amusement. “It’s the rarest thing that ever went down so fast, lol,” Twitch user R__A__C__E remarked, a sentiment echoed by others. However, sentiments quickly changed as Kano, after leaving the dungeon, proceeded to sell the extremely rare item to a vendor in the game. “Don’t sell it!!! Please, for the love of all that is holy,” pleaded YouTube viewer Ragnar, to no avail. “YOU ASSHOLE,” added Twitch user R__A__C__E, expressing outrage. Kano simply laughed at the reactions. “Why, man, it’s 35K, that’s good… that’s good money,” he deadpanned. Later in the same stream, he pretended not to understand why selling the item would cause controversy. “Why are they mad at me for selling Zod, dude? It’s 35K gold. I can’t find it. What’s the problem? I think I should be more mad at the people who keep the Zod rune, to be honest.” Elsewhere in the stream, Kano expressed his disbelief and appreciation for what had just transpired. “I can’t believe, like, he’s so sick,” she said. “Hey, that’s my first Zod rune, dude. Now, whenever people ask me ‘What’s the most advanced Rune you’ve ever seen?’ I can tell it’s Zod, man.”
