Le Rhodia, a sunny cafe-restaurant, opened this spring on the second floor of a 19th-century artist’s studio in the Montparnasse district of Paris. Designed by SAME, Le Rhodia has a daffodil yellow dining room with mid-century flea market finds and custom pieces created by French artisans. The cafe has a wood-burning stove and a large oculus window, and diners can also choose to sit outside on the mezzanine terrace. The menu offers refreshing and light dishes, including a black-bean puree with pickled beets and corn nuts, and pastries like Rhodia brioche with orange-blossom cream or honey-and-thyme-infused Madeleine d’Antoine.
