In Abilene, Texas, the number of flu cases has increased dramatically over the past month.
According to Abilene-Taylor County Public Health officials, there were a total of 324 cases of both Influenza A and Influenza B combined for the week of January 21 through 27, which is significantly higher than the 170 cases reported the previous week and the 105 cases at the end of December.
At present, the distribution of cases between Influenza A and Influenza B is fairly equal, with 178 cases reported as Influenza A and 146 as Influenza B.
