During Amazon’s annual September product showcase, the company unveiled a range of new devices and services. Alongside the usual lineup of Echo, Eero, and Fire TV devices, Amazon introduced several new cameras and Blink devices and ring starters.
One of the highlights is the new $180 Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera with security-controlled lighting. Additionally, there is a new battery pack designed for existing Blink Outdoor 4 cameras. The battery pack is expected to extend the camera’s battery life up to four years and will be priced at $30. Both of these devices are available for pre-order starting today and will be shipped later this year.
Beyond the Blink cameras, Amazon also teased the upcoming release of the Blink Sync Module Pro. Set to be released next year for $50, this module will expand the capabilities of wireless outdoor cameras beyond relying on Wi-Fi, which is particularly useful for monitoring large yards or areas.
On the product front, Amazon announced the arrival of the new Ring Stick-Up Cam Pro, which is available for purchase starting today at $180. This wireless camera boasts enhanced audio quality with advanced microphones, as well as smart motion detection and refined notifications that alert you when someone is in a specific location that you define. You can also enjoy a bird’s eye view of your property with the selected modes that have been customized for you.
In addition to the hardware, Amazon mentioned that Ring’s new Alexa features will soon be available on the Alexa app. These features include presets that enable your lights to turn on whenever your Ring Doorbell is rung or whenever your Ring Alarm security system is disarmed. Alexa users can expect to see these updates through a software update later this fall.
