AMD’s third-generation upgrade technology, FSR3, is now available in the games “Starship Troopers: Extermination” and “The Thaumaturge” as its support continues to expand. Starship Troopers Extermination is a new co-op game based on the famous movie from 1997, utilizing Unreal Engine 4. The game’s objective is to battle under the United Citizen Federation and the Arachnid Empire’s banner, also known as bugs. Although the game has not been officially released, early access is already available. A recent patch 0.6.2 has brought important changes for both NVIDIA and AMD graphics card users, such as support for Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) and FSR3. It also supports Intel XeSS and includes Global Illumination, Lumen HWRT, hardware ray tracing, and zoom control. Users need to ensure their hardware compatibility with the update, as performance may be impacted. The game currently does not support FSR profiles, and once enabled, there are no other options. However, future plans include adding this along with other upgrade technologies. On a positive note, the game already features support for zoom control.
The other game, “The Thaumaturge,” is a dark RPG set in 20th century Warsaw and is yet to be released. However, the good news is that the developer has confirmed its launch on February 20th with support for AMD FSR3. This isometric gameplay adds “The Thaumaturge” to the growing list of games supported by FSR3, which already includes 14 titles.
