Some might have thought that Dr. Seuss’s fantasy world was just a product of his imagination. However, it appears that his imagination may have been more rooted in reality than previously believed. The Sanfordiacaulis densifolia, a tree resembling those found in Dr. Seuss’ illustrations, has been discovered through the finding of five ancient fossils deep in a New Brunswick quarry.
