The new David Byrne musical “Here Lies Love,” set to begin previews on Broadway next week, has reached an agreement with the American Federation of Musicians’ Local 802 after the union raised objections to the use of recorded music in the production. The deal will see 12 musicians included in the show, which is a dance-style club production about the Philippines’ former first lady, Imelda Marcos. The production has been acclaimed in earlier versions, and its budget is expected to be one of the summer’s biggest, as the Broadway Theater is being specially renovated to create a fully immersive experience for the audience, placing them on a dance floor in the midst of the action.
