Helldivers 2 had a successful launch on Steam, but encountered issues with matchmaking and gameplay problems.Published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PS5 and PC, the cooperative game developed by Arrowhead Game Studios quickly gained popularity, currently ranking as the 18th most played game on Steam with 64,183 players. It is also the third best-selling game by revenue on Steam, ahead of popular titles such as Palworld and Call of Duty, despite facing problems on PC.In a statement on the official Helldivers Discord, Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt acknowledged that the studio is currently facing challenges with gameplay issues, crashes, and login problems. Pilestedt also recognized the unexpected problems that arose following the game’s release, despite extensive testing efforts. The team is actively working to address these issues, and apologizes for any inconvenience caused. Pilestedt also encouraged coordination with the community to enhance the experience of joining friends in the game.
