One of the highly-anticipated games showcased at State of Play this week will be the PS5 version of Stellar Blade, developed by Korean studio Shift Up. Slated for release later this year, the game has already been confirmed as one of the 15 titles to be featured in the 40-minute event. The game’s social media account also sprung to life ahead of the event. Initially published on September 22, 2022 to celebrate reaching 10,000 followers, the article has been updated a year later to reaffirm Sony’s commitment to featuring the game at State of Play. Although the game, known as God of Victory: NIKKE Creator, was scheduled for release in 2023 and missed its target, we can expect to receive news regarding the release date later this week. Previously announced as Project EVE for multiple platforms, Stellar Blade became a PS5 exclusive following Sony’s publishing deal with Shift Up, making the studio a second-party developer. PS Studios head Hermen Hulst teased that viewers should anticipate “a comprehensive look” at the title, featuring a wealth of gameplay footage, video clips, and visuals.
