The first asteroid, named JA5, is as large as a house and measures nearly 60 feet in length. It will come within a distance of approximately 3.17 million miles from Earth. JA5 was initially observed in 2021.

The next two asteroids, QC5 and GE, are scheduled to fly past Earth on Friday. QC5 is about the size of a plane, measuring approximately 83 feet. It will come within a distance of 2.53 million miles from Earth. On the other hand, GE, with a size of about 26 feet, will be observed at a distance of around 3.56 million miles from Earth.

The remaining two asteroids, QE8 and QF6, are predicted to pass by on Sunday. QE8 is approximately 170 feet in length and will be the closest to Earth at a distance of 946,000 miles. QF6 measures just under 70 feet and will come within 1.65 million miles from Earth.

NASA’s information shows the next five potential approaches to Earth at distances within 4.6 million miles. A size greater than 492 feet is considered “potentially” hazardous, but none of the asteroids expected this week are close to that measurement.
