© Crunchyroll, LLC Crunchyroll has announced that the Funimation app will be shut down on April 2, as part of the process to integrate Funimation’s services with Crunchyroll following the companies’ merger. Funimation subscribers have the option to transfer their account to Crunchyroll, along with their viewing history and queue, or merge their Funimation account with an existing Crunchyroll account if they share the same email address. However, Crunchyroll will not support Funimation’s digital downloads, as these were offered as part of a DVD or Blu-ray release by Funimation. Although Crunchyroll has begun transferring Funimation’s content, not all of it has been moved over yet, starting with the spring 2022 anime season. Fandom Post editor-in-chief Chris Beveridge has compiled a list of all the content that is not currently available on Crunchyroll. Anime News Network has not confirmed whether all of the series listed by Beveridge are currently accessible on Crunchyroll. Sony’s Funimation Global Group completed the acquisition of Crunchyroll from AT&T on August 9, 2021, following the initial announcement of the purchase in December 2020. The acquisition was valued at US$1.175 billion, and the payment was made in cash upon closing. Funimation’s home movies are now listed under Crunchyroll. Source: Funimation
