Samsung’s AI smartphone, the Galaxy S24, has seen impressive pre-order numbers since it was revealed on January 17. The series surpassed the popular Galaxy Note 10 in pre-orders, setting a new record in South Korea. Within a week of opening pre-orders on January 19, Samsung received 1.21 million orders for the Galaxy S24, averaging 173,000 pre-orders per day, which is higher than the Galaxy Note 10. This marks the highest number of pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy S series. The Galaxy S24’s order numbers are 38% higher than the Galaxy Note 10’s previous record.
Samsung’s stores, such as Samsung Gangnam, witnessed an influx of customers following the Galaxy S24 announcement. Due to the overwhelming response, Samsung has extended the pre-order period and introduced various benefits for the Galaxy S24 series. These include free storage upgrades, allowing customers to receive the 512GB version for the price of the 256GB version. The Galaxy S24 series also saw a record-breaking 250,000 pre-bookings in India within three days, surpassing the Galaxy S23’s numbers, which took three weeks to achieve. Pre-order figures for the Galaxy S24 series have also been strong in other markets.
In South Korea, the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 come in four colors, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra is available in four different colors. The pricing for different models ranges from KRW 1,155,000 to KRW 2,127,000, with various color variants available through Samsung.com and Samsung Gangnam stores.
