Google Unveils Five Major Updates for Pixel 8 and 8 Pro

Google The focus in the world of Android may be on the Samsung Galaxy S24 and OnePlus 12, but Google has unveiled several significant updates for the Pixel 8 series. The first update is the introduction of the new Mint version, available on the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The Mint color is a subtle shade that is now available for all Pixel 8 models, beginning January 25, with initial availability on the Google Store and Google Fi. Additionally, the Mint version comes with 128GB of storage.
Google However, the new Mint color is not the only update for Pixel 8 users. Google has also rolled out its January 2024 Feature Drop, which includes four major updates. One of them is Circle to Search, a feature that enables users to search for anything on their phone’s screen by simply circling it and pressing and holding the home button. Another feature, Magic Compose in Messages, uses AI to allow users to rewrite messages in different styles. Additionally, Photomoji has been introduced, allowing users to turn their photos into stickers or emojis for use in Google Messages. Moreover, the January 2024 Feature Drop enables the Pixel 8 Pro’s temperature sensor to be used for measuring body temperature and saving the results to the Fitbit app. The Feature Drop also includes Quick Sharing, now available on all Android devices, Chromebooks, and Windows PCs, as well as Seamless Audio Switching, which extends to the Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2.
