It even made appearances in Vogue and on the wrists of celebrities like Beyonce and Katy Perry.

However, the latest iteration of the Apple Watch, the Series 9, tells a different story. The gold edition is no longer available, and the price has significantly decreased compared to the first edition. Instead of focusing solely on fashion, Apple has shifted its attention to health and fitness features, which has helped it become a leader in the wearables market.

Apple CEO Jeff Williams emphasized the watch’s role as an essential companion for health, fitness, connectivity, and security. The Series 9 offers additional health and fitness capabilities, building on its predecessors’ success in this area.

Initially, Apple positioned the Apple Watch as a fashion accessory, but it quickly realized that highlighting health and fitness functionalities attracted more customers. The Series 2 was introduced as “the ultimate fitness tool,” and subsequent models focused on improving user experience, functionality, and utility.

Today, the Apple Watch has become an indispensable device or accessory for health and fitness. It helps users stay active, reminds them to take breaks, and even alerts them to potential health problems or emergencies. While fashion is not the primary focus anymore, the Apple Watch has not completely abandoned its stylish appeal. The Series 8 and Series 9 can be customized with various watch faces, bands, and accessories, allowing users to personalize their devices according to their preferences.
