Israel will ship the executive of its Mossad intelligence company to Qatar to proceed talks over a possible ceasefire-for-hostages deal in Gaza, in a conceivable signal the negotiations could also be advancing.
Israeli Top Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s place of job mentioned Saturday it had directed the executive of the Mossad, David Barnea, to go a delegation “to leave for Doha to proceed advancing a deal for the discharge of our hostages.”
It didn’t say when Barnea and his delegation will arrive in Qatar.
The delegation can even come with Nitzan Alon, the top of the Israel Protection Forces’ hostage’s unit and Ronen Bar, the top of Israel’s Shin Guess intelligence company.
Netanyahu’s choice got here at the heels of a gathering with US “negotiators of each the incoming and outgoing administrations,” his place of job added.
Netanyahu met Saturday with Steve Witkoff, US president-elect Donald Trump’s designated envoy to the Center East.
