If you are a fan of both Mass Effect and Destiny 2, then you are in for a treat as Bungie has revealed an upcoming collaboration with EA and BioWare to introduce content inspired by Commander Shepard and the Mass Effect universe in a new cooperative event. Starting from February 13, Destiny 2 players will have the opportunity to “join the Normandy team” and acquire new cosmetics and in-game items. The event will feature a new Normandy Crew Bundle in the Eververse store, offering a Commander Shepard-inspired N7 armor set for Titans, a Garrus-inspired Vakarian set for Hunters, and a Liara-inspired Shadow Broker set for Warlocks. Additionally, players will have the option to purchase Ultimate Omni Strike and Flux Dance using Silver.
Mass Effect fans can also look forward to a free Alliance Requisitions Bundle, including the Enhanced Defense Ghost Shell, Alliance Scout Frigate ship, and Alliance Drop Ship Sparrow. The announcement of the Mass Effect crossover coincides with the launch of Destiny 2’s Riven’s Wishes event, which will run until March 12th. During this event, players can participate in weekly quests to earn tokens for Last Wish and Deepsight weapons, as well as Strange weapons from the year of Lightfall, event reminders, and Ascendant crafting weapons.
Notably, the Moments of Triumph event is currently underway, running until June 3rd and marking the “launch of the Final Shape” in Destiny 2. Originally, the Final Shape expansion was scheduled for next month, but due to Bungie’s decision to delay the release until June 4, 2024, the event has been extended. This delay comes after staff layoffs at the studio in October, which impacted approximately 100 employees.
