Mortal Kombat 1 Peacemaker Release Date Confirmed – IGN
February 6, 2024

The developer of Mortal Kombat 1, NetherRealm, has announced the release date for the highly anticipated DLC character, Peacemaker. The new addition guarantees a significant expansion compared to previous seasons of Mortal Kombat 1. Details on both are due at the end of this month, according to a recent tweet. Early access to Mortal Kombat 1 DLC characters is available for those who purchase Kombat Pack 1, usually a week ahead of the release for others, suggesting that Peacemaker will be available for purchase around March 7. The Kombat Pack 1 includes access to various characters such as Omni-Man (from Invincible), Quan Chi, Peacemaker (from DC), Ermac, Homelander (from The Boys), and Takahashi Takeda, as well as fighters Kameo Tremor, Mavado, Janet Cage, Ferra, and Chameleon. The version of Peacemaker in Mortal Kombat 1 is based on John Cena’s portrayal in the DCEU and the upcoming DCU, featuring the actor’s voice and appearance. The release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S is set for February, with the Nintendo Switch version not included. Mortal Kombat 1 was launched in September 2023 and has sold three million copies, and while the game’s main team has faced challenges due to aggressive investment, poor communication, and lack of updates, NetherRealm remains committed to providing DLC story content and “more surprises later”.
