Sadly, it’s time for Padma Lakshmi to pack up her personal knives and go.
The longtime host of Prime Chef introduced on Thursday that she’ll be leaving the hit Bravo cooking present after 17 years.
“After a lot soul looking out, I’ve made the tough determination to depart Prime Chef,” Padma wrote in a press release on Twitter.
Since 2006, Padma has anchored 19 seasons of the Emmy-winning cooking competitors sequence that spawned quite a few spin-offs and made stars out of Padma and her longtime cohosts Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons.

Fortunately, Prime Chef isn’t ending alongside Padma’s departure. Final month, Bravo introduced the sequence will return for Season 21.
