Palit has introduced the first fanless RTX 3050 GPU. The KalmX series is returning with this new GeForce RTX, which is the first to feature fanless cooling since the GTX 1650 series. The card is designed with a large heatsink that can dissipate up to 70 watts of power. The RTX 3050 6GB is NVIDIA’s newest addition to the budget segment, featuring a 6GB memory limit and a smaller 96-bit memory bus. This model is also limited in terms of CUDA cores to 2304, a 10% reduction compared to the original 8GB model. Unlike the original RTX 3050 8GB, this new model and all other 6GB SKUs from NVIDIA will have a 70W TDP, instead of 130W. The card does not require any external power connections and only consumes 300W of power. This fanless graphics card provides quiet operation, making it suitable for both gaming and multimedia applications. The effectiveness of the cooling system depends on the ambient temperature and proximity to other heat sources. Some users may use the KalmX GPU in conjunction with other cooling methods for components such as the CPU, memory, chipset, and storage. Furthermore, due to its compact size (16.3 x 13.7 cm), many users may consider pairing it with Home Theater PCs (HTPC) or Small Form Factor (SFF) systems.RTX 3050 6GB KalmX, Source: PALIT The performance of the graphics card is currently unknown as NVIDIA has not provided any samples. However, it is confirmed that the GPU will continue to support ray tracing acceleration and Tensor cores for features such as DLSS and RTX Video Upscaling. Despite limitations in gaming, the GA107 GPU is useful for video capture, printing, and rendering applications. This is a unique feature not commonly found in modern GPUs. As for pricing, PALIT has not yet disclosed the cost of the card. Source: PALIT
