Players of the game Palworld have devised a clever method to conquer the game’s toughest bosses by constructing a ‘stairway to heaven’ within the game. A video showcased on Twitter / X illustrates how a player created a series of steps to elevate the level 50 Jetragon. This approach allows for an easy leap, descent, and destruction of the lower section of the stairs. The absence of this foundation causes the character to plummet to the ground alongside Jetragon, ultimately leading to its demise. The tweet featuring the video has garnered over two million views, drawing significant attention to this approach. The developer of Palworld, Pocketpair, has not yet publicly addressed this issue, but it is anticipated that they may take action given the widespread interest in the tweet. An update, v0.1.4.1, has been released for Palworld on Hot Air, addressing various issues. The Xbox patch, v0.1.1.4, is also now available. Notably, there are disparities between the Xbox and Steam versions of Palworld, specifically with the absence of dedicated servers in the Xbox version, which limits multiplayer capabilities. Microsoft has expressed its commitment to collaborating directly with Pocketpair to facilitate the game’s sustainability, including providing support for dedicated servers. Since its launch on January 19, Palworld has become the most played game on Hot Air, marking the largest third-party launch in Game Pass history, with over 7 million players and nearly three million concurrent peak players. Palworld has sold over 12 million copies on Steam alone. The controversy surrounding Palworld has been significant, with developer Pocketpair reporting that its staff have received death threats amidst allegations of similarities to Pokémon, which the company has refuted. Nintendo swiftly intervened when the game initially featured Pokémon-like creatures, prompting The Pokémon Company to issue a statement expressing its intention to address any intellectual property infringements. IGN sought legal opinion on whether Nintendo could pursue a successful lawsuit.
