This week, while families in Israel and Gaza continue to grieve their losses, President Biden has issued an executive order targeting Israeli settlers in the West Bank accused of attacking Palestinians. Israel declares that it has defeated Hamas in a crucial city, and its military’s attention has shifted to Gaza’s southern border. The war’s effects are felt across Israel and Gaza as the country’s military campaign escalates. The United Nations reports that 90% of people in Gaza regularly go a whole day without food and other basic necessities such as clean water, fuel, medicine and medical supplies.
