Nvidia’s RTX Remix toolkit is here to allow modders to enhance classic PC games with modern graphics. The beta launch of the toolkit offers new AI design tools and the ability to add physically accurate animations. This allows for easier creation and installation of modified graphics and models in older games.
While the toolkit offers advanced features, Nvidia warns that creating amazing mods still requires time and dedication. The RTX Remix is not a one-size-fits-all solution and needs skilled modders to unleash its full potential.
At present, the RTX Remix compatibility is focused on games from the DirectX 8 and 9 era, but Nvidia promises that game compatibility will expand over time. The toolkit is expected to make classic games look as good as they did in memory, and it brings a glimpse into a future where even more games can take advantage of ray tracing technology.
