If you are an Amazon Prime member, you have the opportunity to access two free e-books from the Amazon Prime Reader program throughout the month of January. These curated selections are chosen by the editors of First Reads, providing a diverse range of genres to cater to every type of reader. Additionally, there are multiple free e-book events scheduled throughout the month, such as the Cozy Mystery Book Blast on January 25 and the Witchy Book Worms on January 27, which offer over a hundred and “witchy” e-books, respectively. Prime members usually have the ability to download one free e-book on a rotating list each month, but for the month of January, this number has been increased to two. Even non-members can purchase these e-books at a reduced price. The e-books are compatible with any Kindle-compatible device or e-reader, and can also be accessed via the free Kindle app, or by converting the file to EPUB.
To access the free e-books, Prime members can visit the Amazon website using a browser, or through their desktop, to locate the “Read for Free” button under the First Reads banner, instead of using the phone app. By clicking this option, the e-book will be sent directly to the Kindle connected to the Amazon account. For more information and to see the complete list of available e-books this month, visit the Beginners homepage. You will be alerted of a successful download with a “Thank you, [your name]!” order confirmation, indicating that the e-book has been automatically delivered to the Kindle Cloud Reader.
