In light of this, many people are now wondering what free services are available to them. Below are some options that may be suitable for you:
IRS Free File: If your annual gross income is $79,000 or less, you can receive guidance and assistance with filing your taxes. Click here to read more about this option.
Free File Fillable Forms: If you earn more than $79,000, you can still use the Free Fillable Forms to digitally file your taxes, although there is no additional assistance provided. This option is suitable for individuals who are comfortable dealing with tax matters. The forms will be available starting January 29.
Miltax: The Department of Defense offers free tax software, tax assistance, and financial and legal resources to servicemembers and veterans.
