The engine of a Russian-made passenger aircraft stuck hearth after touchdown at southern Turkey’s Antalya Airport on Sunday, the Turkish delivery ministry stated in a commentary.
The ministry stated landings on the airport have been suspended till 3 a.m. native time whilst government towed the aircraft from the runway.
All 89 passengers and 6 staff have been safely evacuated from the Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger aircraft that had come from the Russian Black Sea hotel of Sochi, the ministry stated.
A video shared on social media by means of Airport Haber information web page confirmed emergency devices responding on the website of the fireplace, with flames and smoke popping out of the airplane’s engine.
Movies shared by means of the delivery ministry following the incident confirmed the airplane with hearth extinguishing foam beneath as firefighters proceed to spray the left-side engine to chill it down.
In keeping with the Antalya Airport web page, an Azimuth Airways aircraft from Sochi landed at 6.25 p.m. GMT.
