Two folks have been injured when a Southwest Airways flight encountered critical turbulence on Wednesday morning and needed to make an emergency touchdown in Tampa, Florida, in keeping with a spokesperson for Tampa World Airport.
Southwest Flight 4273 used to be touring from New Orleans to Orlando when the captain declared an emergency after experiencing turbulence aboard the Boeing 737 jet, the airline mentioned in a remark.
“The Captain declared an emergency, a demand to deviate from a filed flight plan, and likewise asked that paramedics be to be had when the plane arrived to evaluate any doable harm,” the remark mentioned.
A passenger and a flight attendant have been transported to a Tampa house clinical facility, the airline added.
The Federal Aviation Management is investigating the incident, a spokesperson instructed The Gentleman Report.
