SpaceX’s plans for the second Falcon 9 rocket launch of the week remain uncertain, as the Federal Aviation Administration has updated the launch window for the Starlink 6-39 mission to “TBD.” This indicates that it is unlikely for a launch to take place this weekend. The specific time and date for the next Starlink mission from the Cape are yet to be confirmed by SpaceX. Earlier this week, navigational warnings from the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency suggested a launch window from 1 a.m. to 5:31 a.m. EST on Saturday. However, the high winds at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station postponed the NASA’s PACE environmental spacecraft liftoff from Tuesday to early Thursday morning. The weather-delayed launch of PACE on Thursday meant that the original Starlink 6-39 launch window would open approximately 48 hours later. By midday Thursday, the FAA removed the Starlink launch window from its operations plan advisory without providing further details. As a result, the mission’s backup launch window initially extended from 1 a.m. to 5:31 a.m. on Sunday, as indicated by the NGA advisory. Stay tuned for updates from FLORIDA TODAY’s Space Team.
