The focus was on multiplayer modes and updated weapons this time, with some changes also made to the Mincemeat Metalworks stage, which was recently removed from the circuit. Details are available on Nintendo’s official website and are compiled below. Splatoon 3 Ver. 6.1.0 (24 January 2024) Multiplayer Update The Mincemeat Metalworks area has been completely updated. Changes have been made to the specifications of some prominent equipment. Equipment Modifications N-ZAP ’85 N-ZAP ’89 Maximum damage increased from 28.0 to 30.0. Dynamo Roller Gold Dynamo Roller Expanded the area where horizontal turns inflict the most damage. Flingza Roller Increased the angle for more damaging horizontal turns. Reduced the time it takes for ink to start recovering after a vertical shake by 5/60 seconds. Inkbrush Inkbrush Nouveau Increased movement speed when painting while moving forward by about 3% with the ZR Button held. Reduced ink consumption by approximately 7% when holding down the ZR button to paint while moving forward. Splat Brella Sorella Brella Reduces ink consumption during shooting by around 13%. Black Brella Undercover Sorella Brella Holding the ZR button to shoot now allows the player to jump more than before. Squeezer Foil Squeezer Increased the ink used in the first shot after pressing the ZR button by about 9%. Slightly reduced the spray drops produced by shots fired while holding the ZR button. Ballpoint Splatling Ballpoint Splatling Nouveau Slightly increased the number of shots hitting the ground at long distances. Splatana Stamper Neo Splatana Stamper Reduced the size of spray dots from high slashes by about 10%. Changes have been made to the list of special weapons. Special Weapon Modifiers Special Weapon Breaker Wave Breaker When deployed, surrounding enemies will be tagged for a short time. Ink Storm damage within the team’s Ink Storm area now heals quickly, even without being submerged in ink. Important information for some special equipment has been changed. Main weapons have been adjusted to make it easier to wield the power of some weapons and enhance the performance of long-range weapons. Special equipment changes are intended to create new usage strategies and broaden the gameplay scope. Additional updates are planned for the end of the current season, with a focus on updating armor and introducing new features for the season starting in March. Bug Fixes for Player Controls Fixed an issue with charging the Fizzy Bomb where the explosion rate erroneously showed a faster growth of approximately 1/60 seconds. Fixed an issue causing jump animations to disappear when launching Kraken Royale while swimming in ink on a wall. Fixed an issue causing a Rainmaker to get stuck in a wall when a player carrying it splashed and soaked in ink on the wall.

Multiplayer Fix Fixed an issue in the Bluefin Depot where opening a Zipcaster near specific elevator areas allowed players to pass through the scene when returning to the starting point. Fixed an issue in the Bluefin Depot causing Tenta and Ink Storm Cannons to be obstructed by elevators or a metal bridge. Fixed an issue in the Bluefin Depot in Turf War and Rainmaker modes enabling players to unintendedly touch land using the Triple Splashdown in some areas. Fixed an issue in the Bluefin Depot in all modes except Tower Control allowing players to inadvertendly land in different locations. Fixed an issue in Bluefin Depot in Tower Control mode letting players enter additional locations. Fixed an issue in the Bluefin Depot in Tower Control mode where some walls near the center of the stage weren’t properly marked. Fixed an issue in the Bluefin Depot in Rainmaker mode where certain areas did not allow players to swim despite appearing inked. Fix for Salmon Run Fixed an issue where resetting job scenarios would occasionally spawn a different King Salmonid than initially appeared. Fixed an issue preventing players from splashing Boss Salmonids with a charge swipe using Grizzco Splatana if another player in their crew had a Splatana Stamper or Splatana Wiper. Fixed an issue in Spawning Grounds causing slowdowns when players were above certain areas. Other Fixes Fixed an issue with the lock screen modifier where the name of the selected tool was not displayed properly when the tool images were arranged in a particular way.
