The 2025 BMW M440i Features 386 HP And Laser Lighting

A new special edition has been introduced, bringing together a 375-hp turbo straight-six with an 11-hp crankshaft-mounter starter-generator. Overall output remains unchanged at 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, despite new features such as redesigned intake ports and combustion chambers. The beefier M440i packs BMW's turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine with a new 48-volt mild-hybrid setup. The engine itself is rated at 375 hp, down from 382 hp in the 2024 model due to a low-pass filter at the end that the previous American model did not have, presumably to help with air intake. But the new crankshaft-mounted generator adds 11 hp to the mix, for a total of 386 hp. Combined torque is rated at 398 lb-ft.
