(KRON) — The recall of four Trader Joe’s products was announced on Wednesday due to the possibility of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The affected products are made with cotija cheese, which may contain the bacteria.
The recalled products are as follows:
– Chicken Enchiladas Verde (SKU 58292)
– Cilantro Salad Dressing (SKU 36420)
– Elote Chopped Salad Kit (SKU 74768)
– Southwest Salad (SKU 56077)
Trader Joe’s advises customers in possession of these products to either discard them or return them to any location for a full refund.
The consumption of Listeria monocytogenes can result in the infection known as “Listeriosis,” as per the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). It is estimated that about 1,600 people become infected with Listeriosis each year.
Customers of Trader Joe’s with inquiries regarding the recall can reach out at 626-599-3817.
