Two JetBlue planes collided on the tarmac at Boston’s Logan International Airport on Thursday morning, impacting the travel plans of all the passengers on board.
During the deicing process, Flight 777’s left winglet made contact with the right horizontal stabilizer of Flight 551 at approximately 6:40 a.m., as reported by the Federal Aviation Administration.
There were no reports of injuries.
Dave Souter, a passenger who was traveling to Las Vegas for an event related to the Super Bowl, recounted the incident occurring after the aircraft had departed from the gate, to Boston 25 News.
The other plane was en route to Orlando, Florida.
One passenger, Casey Cunningham, expressed gratitude towards the JetBlue crew for their patience in answering passengers’ questions and providing regular updates during the flight.

Efforts are being made to swiftly provide a new plane for the passengers traveling to Orlando.
Both planes will undergo repairs and be taken out of service, according to a JetBlue spokesperson who informed The Post.
“Safety is JetBlue’s priority, and we will work to determine how and why this incident occurred,” the spokesperson added.
The incident is also under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
