Various timepieces have been honored as winners of this year’s prestigious “Oscars of Watchmaking” for their exceptional technical capabilities and captivating designs.

A panel of industry experts carefully selected the finest watches from around the world in fifteen different categories, including sports, jewelry, and travel watches. The awards ceremony, known as the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), took place in Geneva earlier this month.

The most prestigious accolade, the Aiguille d’Or Grand Prix for the best watch in the world, was awarded to the Chronomètre Ferdinand Berthoud FB 1, created by Ferdinand Berthoud.

This remarkable timepiece, made of white gold and titanium, is priced at over $200,000. It features a leather strap and is powered by a hand-wound movement consisting of more than 1,120 components.

The Public Award, determined through votes submitted online from across the globe and at select international exhibitions, was presented to 33 bis Quai des Bergues by Czapek Genève.

The winning watches were showcased in Seoul, Rome, and Geneva before making their final appearance at Dubai Watch Week on November 15.

In addition to the Chronomètre Ferdinand Berthoud FB 1, other esteemed brands like Audemars Piguet, Montblanc, MB&F, Piaget, TAG Heuer, Tudor, Chanel, Eberhard & Co, Fabergé, and Grönefeld were also recognized by the international jury consisting of 27 members this year.
